Dr. Karen Varone is the founder and head of Varone Orthodontics and leads TDN’s orthodontic practice segment. A board-certified diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, Dr. Varone believes her patients deserve the best treatments available and is passionate about staying current with the latest developments in orthodontics. Dr. Varone is in the top 1% of Invisalign providers, holding the highest level VIP Diamond Plus status. She brings a high level of expertise in treating all orthodontic malocclusions equally with Invisalign clear aligners or traditional braces.

Dr. Karen Varone holds a BS in Biology from Penn State University, a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland Baltimore, and an MS in Oral Biology and Speciality Certificate from The Ohio State University. Dr. Varone's graduate research concentrated on patients' satisfaction with orthodontic treatment, something she strives to bring to Varone Orthodontics. In addition to her highest level certification with Invisalign, Dr. Varone is the only certified provider of Incognito lingual braces in Sarasota, and is trained in the use of temporary anchorage devices (TADs) and Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodontics.

Dr. Varone is very active in the Sarasota and Lakewood Ranch communities. You can often find her (and her kids) representing Varone Orthodontics at local charity runs and community events. She is a big supporter of local schools, especially Sarasota Middle and Pine View where her children attend,  making time to volunteer and support their fund raisers whenever possible.
